Songception: Turning Raw Ideas Into a Song

The process of writing tunes is most of the time a mystery to me. Some may just appear in my head or under my fingers within a few minutes, and some others may take ages to complete…

I often record myself with my phone to remember musical ideas before they escape. I found that I still had these rushes for the main themes of The Escape(d) Song, so I thought it might be interesting to compare them with the final demo.

So here is the inception of the song, and how these raw ideas on the guitar and piano finally turned into a 5 minutes instrumental track. Enjoy!
